Miami Heat Diss Drake and Refuse to Speak to Spike Lee

Miami Heat DISS Drake and Spike Lee
Everybody loves a winner, especially bandwagon jumpers. Two famous bandwagon jumpers were rebuffed by the repeat NBA World Champions Miami HEAT yesterday. Rapper Drake was turned away when he tried to gain access to the Miami Heat locker room to join the celebrations after the Heat clinched the NBA title in game 7. When his famous face didn’t get him through the door, he reportedly lied and said “I’m media!”

Drake is friends with several of the Heat players including LeBron James and Dwyane Wade. And his rap single “Started From the Bottom” is a favorite of NBA players. But none of that gained him entry into the locker room after the game.
A writer for the Miami Sentinel tweeted: “I got in the locker room Drake was denied access.” Ironically, Drake and Miguel are set to perform live at the American Airlines Arena on November 5 as part of their upcoming 41-city tour.
Director Spike Lee, whose rabid devotion to the NY Knicks is legendary, was turned down when he tried to interview the Miami Heat players on Thursday.
According to the Miami herald, Lee showed up in the Heat’s locker room before Game?7. He planned to interview each player for a project he was putting together for ABC’s live broadcast that night. But each player he approached refused to do an interview with him. ABC was forced to cancel the planned feature.
Last August, Lee told MTV if his Knicks failed to make it to the NBA Finals: “I rather the Lakers win it than the Heat. I do not want the Heat to win back to back. Hell, no.” Lee also antagonized the Miami Heat players when they played his Knicks during the regular season.
The Miami Heat organization has a rocky relationship with the Hip Hop community. Rapper Flo Rida’s manager, Freezy, was banned from games 6 and 7 of the Finals; and rapper Lil Wayne was banned for life from attending home games at the American Airlines Arena for disrespecting Chris Bosh’s wife, Adrienne.
