Just hours after photos of aging rapper Jay Z partying with WNBA rookie Skylar Diggins hit the Internet, Beyonce summoned her wayward husband to London, where she is performing in concert.
Jay Z, 45, performed a duet with his wife onstage on Saturday. They appeared to be working out their differences, but their body language told a different story. The couple couldn’t be further apart if they were 2 continents away from each other. You could drive a truck through the gap between them onstage.
Jay Z never looks completely happy with Beyonce, and she always has that melancholy look of desperation on her face.
Tongues have been wagging for months that Jay Z is tired of trying to appease his needy wife. Having a baby apparently didn’t cure what ailed their failing marriage.
Besides, Jay Z is at that stage in life when a man understandably wants to know if women — in particular young women — still find him attractive.
Jay Z could have waited until Beyonce was back in town to wine and dine Skylar at his 40/40 Sports Bar last week. Every time Beyonce has met with her crush President Obama, Jay Z was right there with her.
While women are highly sensitive about the public perception of her marriage, men are less concerned with how their marriage is being perceived by others.
I hope they stay together at least until little Blue Ivy is 5.
