Pep Guardiola Rules Out Return To Nou Camp:“I Felt Peace Within Myself When I Left Barcelona”
Pep Guardiola has insisted that he has no regrets, after quitting his job as Barcelona coach last summer.
The Spaniard also seemed to rule out a return to Camp Nou, where he won 14 trophies in his 4-year stint at the club.
Guardiola is set to replace Jupp Heynckes, as coach of Bayern Munich this summer, after he went on a one-year sabbatical from football.
“My time at Barcelona is over. One is born, grows, and becomes older,” he said on an official visit to Buenos Aires,
“I was happy at Barcelona. I had a wonderful relationship with the people I worked with. I am very proud to have been part of Barcelona, but life goes on and we need to pursue other goals. I felt a very large peace with myself when I left. I did the best I could.
“Everything has a beginning and an end. And the end comes when you discover that it’s enough. When you makes the decision to leave a club, it’s better than when the decision is taken for you.
